As you know, Spiceworks is one of my MOST favorite freeware applications for IT & service desk personnel, partly because it is free (duh!), but mostly because of the friendly and responsive nature of the staff and community on the website. The passion of the Spiceworks staff is evident with every correspondance I've had with them...hmm, it must be a nice place to work!

Spiceworks 3.0 is coming out soon, and there are a number of awesome features that it will be sporting, including:
- Service provider tracking - keep tabs on administrivia for ISPs, web hosting providers, spam services, others - etc.
- Integrated Microsoft Exchange support - watch your Exchange server, incoming/outgoing message stats, message store health and more.
- New and improved layout with much easier navigation
- Faster network discovery
- Custom groupings of assets
- Active Directory/LDAP integration
- Of course, all the features of Spiceworks that you have come to know and love!
