Announcement: Snagit 7.2.5 and Camtasia Studio 3.1.3

Amit over at Digital Inspiration posted an article about how Techsmith is offering their retail Snagit 7.2.5 version for free...

The latest current version of Snagit is actually 8.2, but certainly 7.2.5 is fully-featured enough to work for most of us!

I have been giving more and more respect to Techsmith for being progressive (mostly because of their Jing Project), so this is yet another example of how they are striving to be the best in the business.

I like programs like Snagit because of the ability to annotate the screenshots - - for me, this is an absolute must.

Problem installing either program on Vista?

If you are installing Snagit on Vista, you may get a strange condition where it will fail to install. Here is the workaround.

Update 01/18/08 - this offer is no longer available, although it appears you can still download the trial versions without the registration info.

Alternates:

• Jing Project - (also by Techsmith), video and screen capture, but more of a "fun" interface
• MWSnap - Old but still functional
