Another great utility from SysInternals, this one gives you the skinny on who has access to what files/folders, and tells you what type of access they have.
This is extremely useful for situations when you have a user call in and ask you how locked down you have a particular folder or share. Now you can tell them without having to 'right-click>properties' your way through a folder structure.
You can specify to only show you files/folders that differ from the parent folder/share that you started from, thus reducing your results significantly. Also, you can export (the important part of AccessEnum) the results to a text file (although I would have like to have seen CSV as an option). You can then bring this information into your spreadsheet application and pretty it up a little before sending off to your inquisitive user.
Finally, not only will AccessEnum enumerate file/folder security permissions, but you can query registry tree structures as well!
Once again, bravo SysInternals...don't ever change ;)
Update, this utility is now called 'ShareEnums'
